My trip to Strasbourg in April - any suggestions?

I will be travelling to Offenburg at the end of April for attending BarCampOffenburg. Offenburg is really close to the French-German border. So I decided to attend BarCamp on Saturday (the whole day) and half of Sunday. Sunday morning I’ll be going to Strasbourg and pass the border by train (30 minutes from Offenburg).

I want to ask for suggestions. What is worth seeing and worth visiting in Strasbourg, France? Maybe you know some insider tips?

    Hi
Strasbourg native here - hope i can give some pointers
Im not sure what kind of sightseeing you’re looking for but downtown is full of interesting places

You can’t miss our cathedral (Notre Dame de Strasbourg) and the surrounding streets. RIght next to it is a place called “Palais des Rohan”, which has some art collections and is a magnificent building and courtyard.

There are actually quite a few museums

“La petite france” is an area of downtown which is generally very popular with visitors, and includes “Les ponts couverts” (the “covered bridges”).

Also - in the other direction but not far - there is “Place de la republique” which is where youll find the “Palais du Rhin”, a theater (stage - not movies), the local administration buildings, all of those buildings are quite impressive.

On your way to there you should also run into the “Opera du Rhin” opera house which is also nice (that is on “Place Broglie”)

All of this is easily walk-able in the day, but I am not sure what will and won’t be open on a sunday if you wnt to get inside.

Ill let you google/wikipedia all that.. hope this helps!
