In June, I added a tip to Dopplr database, which I want to publish here as well. Have fun and don’t hesitate to send me a message if you are planning to visit Hamburg - I can introduce you to some dudes over there.

If you don’t want to spend all your money for just one night, this is the a good tip: Stay at Hotel Wagner. It’s beautiful located in Hamburg-Rotherbaum close to the ICE railway station Hamburg-Dammtor and the University of Hamburg and with bus connections to Hamburg central station and other tourist destinations in a few minutes.

I stayed there for one week while I was doing an internship in Hamburg near by. The staff is really helpful and it has free wifi, too! That’s one of the points a good hotel need in my opinion so that you can do stuff and finish work from hotel, too.

The style is also amusing: Hotel Wagner tries to catch old Hamburg style and combines it with new elements, really cool!

The building where it is located is called Dammtorpalais which houses five hotels. Although in a very busy, but also safe, district of Hamburg, the Hotel Wagner is still very noiseless (if you don’t get one of the rooms at the beginning of the floor wich everybody is passing to go to their own rooms).

Yesterday we went to my grandma on the mother’s side and had some muffins. She just got discharged from hospital, so she is a little bit out of sorts.

Today we are invited to my paternal grandma: some meatloaf, eating cake, drinking coffee - you know.

Oh, and she has the gold bunny — just like every year:

Today we had to create a role playing in the style of ‘Romeo and Juliet’. So we did…

Marcus and Tobi are walking down the street. They’re talking about a girl.

Marcus: Do you know Julia?
Tobi: Which Julia?
Marcus: Julia Martens
Tobi: Oh yes. How sexy she is…
Marcus: Shut up. She’s my girlfriend!
Tobi: No! She’s my girlfriend!
Marcus: Wanna fight to find out this?

The two guys are fighting the whole day. [Philip is the moon and the sun]
Julian and Patrick are passing by.

Patrick/Julian: Stop! Stop! Stop fighting!

Philip’s also getting around and he’s asking: “Why are you fighting?”
Marcus: We are fighting for a girl!
Philip: Hm… Why aren’t you just asking her?

Marcus and Tobi forgive each other and they’ll ask Julia on the next day.

If you want to see my live, you can realize that on this years CeBIT in March. I’ll be there at least on the weekend. Saturday with a friend and on Sunday I’ll be a attendee of the WeblogCamp, which is a kind of BarCamp. You can find more information about it here, but it is German-only.
