Amazing Talk About Great Apes

Monday, June 16th, 2008

Yesterday I watched a TED Talk by Dr. Sue Savage-Rumbaugh in which she talks about Great Apes — particularly about bonobos — and shows what these apes are able to do in an amazing way (it’s both, speech and video where you see her and her team working with the bonobos).

Sue also talks about why it’s her mission to provide Great Apes. (Unfortunately I am not allowed to embed this video, so here is the link: http://youtube.com/watch?v=YRjaqlqzeeA)

I wrote about Twitter for T3N print magazine

Monday, June 2nd, 2008

I published an article about Twitter and Microblogging in general in the current issue of T3N, which is a German print magazine about Open Source, Web and TYPO3. This issue no. 12 is the best T3N I have ever read so far.

Beside my article, there are written textes about using WordPress as a CMS, Livestreaming with Mogulus/Qik/Ustream, How to do Screencasts, Social Networks, Open Source Social Networks, Community kits (like Ning), Microformats, an interview with Frank Westphal (who is the developer of Germany’s Techmeme, called Rivva) and how to create a business plan.

Disclosure: I will be doing an internship for one year at T3N starting in two months.
